LED Tubes fixture better than the old fluorescent tube lights

LED Tubes fixture better than the old fluorescent tube lights!

Wow, what a difference 1 light tube is brighter than the 2 fluorescents, will be ordering more. They were easy to install.

Here is a photo of 1 LED tube (on right) vs the 2 fluoresents (on Left)

LED Linear Tubes Recommendation: External complete PC material for being insulating

A few years back I installed a used florescent light fixture in my garage. The light fixture had four t10 tubes and two ballasts.

The light worked great during the summer months. But if it rained or was humid, or during the winter months getting the light to turn on was nearly impossible. Very frustrating when you need to get something fixed or want to work on a project but can't.

I could have replaced the ballast and bulbs and solve the problem. Then there was also the annoying constant hum....

Anyways I bought two (HTlights t8 LED's 4000K 18W Tubes) of these lights and 4 tombstones. I removed the old ballasts and cut the wires off of them to wire the LED's up to the new tombstones. My package did not come with instructions but after a little searching online the installation was easy. You only have to wire up one side of the fixture (i.e. each tube has a positive and negative on each side), you only have to connect + and - on one side, the other side does not need to be connected to anything. The old tombstones can be used to hold the light in place on that other side of the tube, just cut and remove the wiring from them.

After I was all done I pushed the breaker back in, flipped the switch and was instantly surprised at the light output. These lights are much easier to see with because they are white. They make things look clearer and better if you ask me. Not only that but there is no more annoying hum, and the lights turn on instantly regardless of the temperature or humidity in the garage.

Now that I know what these lights look like I just bought two more to complete the fixture.
I would say the lights are just as bright as the 36W t10's they replaced but they put out a whiter, clearer light that is much better to work with. Great for the garage and shop!

Would recommend to anyone looking for some good LED tube lights.

LED Light Glare occurs in the following three forms

Glare is a two-fold problem in which lights are reflected off surrounding surfaces so that the light scatters and causes vision problems. It doesn’t interfere with night vision, but makes it difficult to identify and place objects. For the problems of LED glare, all the manufacturers have adopted a variety of methods, some use the brushed PC mask ,others adopt the frosted mask or use the special phosphor materials, etc. , but these methods are not ideal, the drawing masks can eliminate glare, but the flare phenomenon is more serious , our eye tend to be fatigue under this lamp, if we are exposed to it over a prolonged period of time , but also cause eye astigmatism ; while the light loss of those using the mask and cream frosted is too large , the effect is bad. The wrong kind of light, or too much light has been proven to have an impact on your health and quality of life. Glare occurs in the following three forms: Discomfort Glare – Discomfort glare is also known as psycho...
