well-priced bulbs with warm light A pair of standard-base BR30 led flood bulbs. The warm light is evenly distributed, and only the bulb's modest weight gives away that it's an LED and not an incandescent. There's no warm-up, no buzz, and no extended fade-out. These 12W bulbs (1200 lumens) are easily brighter than my old 75W incandescents, and have lower power consumption than my first gen (14-15W) BR30 LEDs. The BR is for the shape of the bulb ("bulged reflector"). R30 / BR30 / PAR30 bulbs are all interchangeable, with some minor differences in light distribution. I love LEDs for their low power usage, the light output that doesn't fade, long life (infrequent replacements), and easy disposal (trash). All of these things make them consistently the best, most useful form of lighting available today. It's quite the major improvement from what was available just a few years ago. LED Flood Light Bulbs Par20 Par30 Par38 I bought the day light version, they are very bright, used them for recessed lights. We ordered nine bulbs from a different company and they were way too small. Sent those back and ordered these. Shipping was quick, packaging was fine and all eight lights screwed in and worked. The light color is more bluish white than I anticipated but in all fairness, it is a much better color than the traditional bulbs these replaced. We have 8 recessed "cans" in the kitchen that don't like bulb heat and tend to get warm. With these, those days are gone. We have two more bulbs to install in the breakfast nook but I left those in so users could see the difference in light. The two farthest cans in the picture have conventional 75W indoor flood bulbs and the fixtures in the foreground are equipped with these. Quite a bit of difference and we like them a lot.
