 led candelabra bulbs

I have finally had the need to replace one of the 60 Watt equivalent CFL 5000K candelabra daylight bulbs in my living room (ceiling light fixture with 6 bulbs) since recently purchasing this LED six-pack and must say that I am quite impressed with the quality of this lighting so far.

Not only do these LED bulbs consume slightly less wattage (4 W) than the Utilitech compact fluorescent bulbs that I regularly purchased at my local Lowe’s, but they are also just as bright with a light output of about 400 lumens for the comparable CFLs.

The absence of mercury in LEDs and the coolness of the lighting provided (You can touch and/or unscrew these at most warm-to-the-touch bulbs at any time with your bare hand without getting burned.) are undeniable and truly worthwhile additional benefits.

It’s also very nice indeed to no longer have to go through an initial warm-up phase (several minutes!) as was required with the CFLs until they finally achieved their full illumination. As soon as these LEDs are turned on, they immediately function at maximum brightness.

I can provide no information on the overall bulb life of these sanlibang LED bulbs so far since I just started using them, but will post a pertinent update if they do not appear to have a functional service life (30,000 hours claimed!) which clearly exceeds that of CFL bulbs.

In my experience, useful service life always was the Achilles heel of CFL light bulbs: They absolutely never lasted anywhere near as long as they were supposed to and had to be repeatedly replaced at a truly alarming and expensive frequency (especially bathroom vanity globe CFL bulbs).

Now that the price of LED light bulbs in general has decreased so dramatically (to even less than what CFLs used to go for), there is absolutely no reason to be purchasing anything else other than this type of lighting technology. Certainly all of my remaining CFLs will be replaced by LEDs, one by one, as they slowly bite the dust. If you haven’t started the switch to truly economical LED lighting yet, then the time has come for you to seriously consider doing so.

The price here at sanlibang.com at about $3.80 per candelabra bulb is quite reasonable and the one-year warranty provided by the manufacturer makes transitioning even easier.

LED Light Glare occurs in the following three forms

Glare is a two-fold problem in which lights are reflected off surrounding surfaces so that the light scatters and causes vision problems. It doesn’t interfere with night vision, but makes it difficult to identify and place objects. For the problems of LED glare, all the manufacturers have adopted a variety of methods, some use the brushed PC mask ,others adopt the frosted mask or use the special phosphor materials, etc. , but these methods are not ideal, the drawing masks can eliminate glare, but the flare phenomenon is more serious , our eye tend to be fatigue under this lamp, if we are exposed to it over a prolonged period of time , but also cause eye astigmatism ; while the light loss of those using the mask and cream frosted is too large , the effect is bad. The wrong kind of light, or too much light has been proven to have an impact on your health and quality of life. Glare occurs in the following three forms: Discomfort Glare – Discomfort glare is also known as psycho...
