PAR16 LED Bulb, 5W (50W equivalent), 500 lumen, 3000K



I absolutely love these...used them in my kitchen track lighting. The soft amber glow creates a subtle warmth you don't get from regular lights; yet the no evident utilitarian loss of brightness (possibly, the brightness doesn't extend as far compared to halogen bulbs). And please note the size as indicated in the seller's description. I was concerned with the length and didn't expect the bulb diameter to be so much smaller than my Par20 halogen bulbs (the end where the light emits). Fortunately, I was able to manipulate the fixture to accommodate the bulbs...and so worth it. They almost makes cooking and cleaning enjoyable! Hopefully the before and after pics I've included can give you an idea of the ambiance the amber glow creates.

These light bulbs have a newer technology (MCOB) which use less energy and last longer. I had been buying CFL twist energy saver lightbulbs which I thought were nice, until I learned about these bulbs. The CFL energy saving bulbs I had last 12,000 hours and these MCOB HT-lights light bulbs last 35,000 hours. They are a little more expensive, but it's worth the money to invest because they use less energy and last more than twice as long. In the long run, you end up saving more money with the MCOB LED Bulbs. I also like the design and material these are made out of. If I were to drop one of these, I dont need to worry about it shattering like a CFL bulb would. They also don't get hot like CFL bulbs do. I think eventually, CFL bulbs will be phased out and all manufacturers will be selling MCOB bulbs. I got the daylight white colored ones and now would love to have a set of the warm color too.
