Excellent product that works well and is fully compatible wherever incandescent or CFL bulbs were prior.
I am slowly changing all the light bulbs in our house from older incandescents (when they burn out) and getting rid of those dangerous mercury-filled CFLs as quickly as I can! I'm glad I never made a big investment in them because they're dangerous if they break and not one of them has lasted anywhere near the hours they promised me (with most giving out 1/3 the way through!).
All of the LED lights that I have used in the past are still working fine today. It's just that when they first came out they were very, very expensive. Now their cost has gone down considerably. Since they'll last for so many years I'm putting them in the hardest to reach areas first so I don't have to worry about it until the next decade of my life! Lol
These bulbs are rated the same as a 12W CFL, but their light seems brighter, clearer, and crisper. It's a whiter light (vs. a yellow one). 10W LED is about equivalent to an 60W incandescent, so the output will be more than a 75W. It's perfect there right in the middle.
As you can see by my pictures, these bulbs are a lot bigger in size than your basic old incandescent bulb. So make sure whatever fixture you're going to use them in will accommodate their width. The part you screw in is the same size as normal bulbs, so that's not an issue.
As I'm finding with most LED bulbs, they are made of plastic. Makes them light weight and safer if you drop them. While they still may break or crack, at least they won't shatter a whole bunch of tiny pieces of sharp glass all over the place, nor will they release any mercury into the air.
They don't get nearly as hot as old fashioned bulbs do. They do get warm to the touch, but even after having them on straight for hours, you can still remove one with your bare hands.
And another nice thing about LED vs. CFLs is that they come on at their full strength right from the get go. You don't have to wait for them to warm up or ease into their full potential.
These came nicely boxed and each one was cocooned in a plastic holder so they didn't get damaged in transit. Upon receipt I immediately replaced the CFL bulb in our pocket light above the sink because that one kept flickering. This new LED bulb hasn't flickered once and it's been working perfectly ever since!
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
