LED Flood Light Bulbs Par20 Par30 Par38

I bought the day light version, they are very bright, used them for recessed lights.

We ordered nine bulbs from a different company and they were way too small. Sent those back and ordered these. Shipping was quick, packaging was fine and all eight lights screwed in and worked. The light color is more bluish white than I anticipated but in all fairness, it is a much better color than the traditional bulbs these replaced. We have 8 recessed "cans" in the kitchen that don't like bulb heat and tend to get warm. With these, those days are gone. We have two more bulbs to install in the breakfast nook but I left those in so users could see the difference in light. The two farthest cans in the picture have conventional 75W indoor flood bulbs and the fixtures in the foreground are equipped with these. Quite a bit of difference and we like them a lot.

If you are like me and have a hard time figuring out the bulb dimensions, the number following the letters (i.e. PAR38) divided by 8 is the bulb face dimensions. In other words, a BR30 has a bulb face of 3.75 inches (30 divided by 8). A PAR38 such as these are 4.75" across the bulb face. Need to be considerate of that to ensure the bulb will fit nicely if you are installing LED lights in a recessed can.

In closing, I am thoroughly pleased with these lights and the price. If they last as long as I expect, I will be tickled. I would definitely recommend HTlight LED Flood Light Bulbs Par20 Par30 Par38 to a friend and anyone who asks.

UPDATE 10 MONTHS LATER - One of the bulbs has decided it's too expensive to work. Turn on the kitchen light, it turns on and immediately goes out. Swapped receptacles to see if the condition followed the bulb, it did. Total hours on bulb maybe 1000, estimated hours on $3.00 bulb it replaced that was still working, 10,000+. I hope this was a fluke but ordered four replacements due to cost of commitment. Got the four replacements (reorder) and guess what, same specification, same rating, same package but a "different" projection of light. You can easily determine the odd bulb out. Due to the cost of commitment and the high risk of inconsistency, I'm not as eager to convert the rest of the multi-receptical bulbs in my house....

LED Light Glare occurs in the following three forms

Glare is a two-fold problem in which lights are reflected off surrounding surfaces so that the light scatters and causes vision problems. It doesn’t interfere with night vision, but makes it difficult to identify and place objects. For the problems of LED glare, all the manufacturers have adopted a variety of methods, some use the brushed PC mask ,others adopt the frosted mask or use the special phosphor materials, etc. , but these methods are not ideal, the drawing masks can eliminate glare, but the flare phenomenon is more serious , our eye tend to be fatigue under this lamp, if we are exposed to it over a prolonged period of time , but also cause eye astigmatism ; while the light loss of those using the mask and cream frosted is too large , the effect is bad.
