Great bulb for light

I have been changing all of my indoor ceiling can lights over to these type of LED bulbs so I decided to try one of these in a light fixture we have outdoors above our garage door. These types of bulbs are supposed to provide super bright light and not have to be replaced for a long time so it is perfect for the tough place that I need it to go.

I did not use this bulb in a dimmable fixture so I can not speak to the effectiveness of that feature. I had a CFL light in this outdoor fixture, but I hate how CFL's take so long to light up and they are not bright at all. LED's are so much better, brighter and energy efficient. I wanted this light above the garage for security and safety so this bulb is perfect, it provides instant brightness instead of having to wait while they "warm up" like my previous CFLs.

I would definitely recommend these to my friends and family. I liked this bulb so much, I went back and purchased the six pack of the same bulbs. Way less expensive on Amazon than at the big box stores.
