LED Chandelier Light Bulbs - 40 Watt Equivalent - Soft White Light (2700K) - 300 Lumens

Love/hate relationship with these bulbs

I acquired these LED Chandelier Light Bulbs because I wanted something brighter for my ancient chandelier (with a dimmer switch) that came with the house, and it's maximum wattage is 25 per bulb, and even though it has 6 bulbs, they just aren't bright enough. The bright spot was that these were a higher wattage, using only a fraction of the actual wattage, which is a huge plus, and, they're instant on, no waiting for the bulb to warm up.

These LED Chandelier Light Bulbs are indeed brighter. They really don't fit all that well with my current shades (that work well with the blunt tip bulbs), but they still work.
Sometimes I like to leave the chandelier on it's dimmest setting if we go out at night and don't want to come home to a pitch black house. Even on the dimmest setting, these lights are too bright. If you don't have a dimmer, then it's not an issue.

The one major flaw that bothers me is the white base. It really does take away from the light that would normally radiate downwards, but the main issue is the writing on the base, which can be easily seen, since you're looking up at it. If you have a light cover that covers the base, or screws in from above, you're okay.

Pros:
Brighter, especially good on older watt restricted fixtures
Energy Star rated
Dimmable
Instant on, no warm up required!
Warm white color

LED Light Glare occurs in the following three forms

Glare is a two-fold problem in which lights are reflected off surrounding surfaces so that the light scatters and causes vision problems. It doesn’t interfere with night vision, but makes it difficult to identify and place objects. For the problems of LED glare, all the manufacturers have adopted a variety of methods, some use the brushed PC mask ,others adopt the frosted mask or use the special phosphor materials, etc. , but these methods are not ideal, the drawing masks can eliminate glare, but the flare phenomenon is more serious , our eye tend to be fatigue under this lamp, if we are exposed to it over a prolonged period of time , but also cause eye astigmatism ; while the light loss of those using the mask and cream frosted is too large , the effect is bad. The wrong kind of light, or too much light has been proven to have an impact on your health and quality of life.
