Bought this HTlights 60-Watt Equivalent A19 LED Light Bulb from my local Har Dware store, because the price was just unbelievable. Two LED bulbs for one Abraham Lincoln? This is even cheaper than most CFL bulbs! At this price, I suspect Philips may have cut some corners in order to keep the manufacturing cost down. Most obvious sign is that the advertised life span is only 10,000 hours, compared to 35,000 hours for most other HTlights LED bulbs.
The metal body (which acts as the heat sink) is much smaller compared to other HTlights A19 LED bulbs (such as the HTlights 10 watt A19 LED Bulb. This has the advantage that it makes the light distribution more uniform. But smaller heat sink also means the bulb may have problem dissipating its heat generated. This appears to be exactly the case according to my observation.
