led tubes Great warmer light color, using it in my small walk-in closet

The 4ft 18W T8 LED Tube Light "warm light" 3000k bulbs are great for my little walk in closet! We have very old fluorescent fixtures (over 15 years old) that my husband was able to rewire to make these work. Others have done a good job explaining how to do so, and I'm not an electrician so I'll move on to the actual light quality. We just put in led tube lights in our kitchen and laundry room, in neutral/daylight 5000k, and I love them in those spaces, the light is very clean and white and bright and so I figured I would love them in my small walk in closet as well. WRONG. Every time I looked at myself in the mirror in my closet with the 5000k light I would bring my hands to my face home-alone style and gasp in horror at the ghost before me. (The ghost was me). Anyways, so I immediately decided I needed a warmer light in there, so I switched out the 5k for these in 3000k and it's so much better. I feel like a human being again.

The led t8 tubes light isn't quite as bright as the 5000k, which had a clear tube (the 3000k has more of a white looking tube and isn't see through), but for my small closet the 2 bulbs are still very sufficient. No buzzing or flickering and the lights turn on as soon as I flip the switch. The light is definitely a lot more yellow/warm, which I don't think I would like in my kitchen but it's working perfectly for my closet. Very happy with these and would recommend them, especially for spaces like closets!

These light bulbs have a newer technology (MCOB) which use less energy and last longer. I had been buying CFL twist energy saver lightbulbs which I thought were nice, until I learned about these bulbs. The CFL energy saving bulbs I had last 12,000 hours and these MCOB HT-lights light bulbs last 35,000 hours. They are a little more expensive, but it's worth the money to invest because they use less energy and last more than twice as long. In the long run, you end up saving more money with the MCOB LED Bulbs. I also like the design and material these are made out of. If I were to drop one of these, I dont need to worry about it shattering like a CFL bulb would. They also don't get hot like CFL bulbs do. I think eventually, CFL bulbs will be phased out and all manufacturers will be selling MCOB bulbs. I got the daylight white colored ones and now would love to have a set of the warm color too.
