sanlibang Dimmable 65 Watt Equivalent Soft White BR30 Dimmable Led Light Bulb
We purchased our new home last March and after seeing our first power bill I knew I needed to do everything I can to bring the electric bill down. The kitchen, hallway and master bathroom had these sized incandescent flood lights in ceiling canisters that were really heating up the rooms. That may be nice when you are up north, but here in Sunny Florida, that simply will not do. Your air conditioning unit will work harder to cool the rooms when the light bulbs put off so much heat. I replaced them ALL today and I am absolutely thrilled. They were the exactly the same size of the bulbs I was replacing. The soft white is what I have in all my interior rooms. My exterior security lights are daylight bulbs. These lights put off a tremendous amount of light.
I spent a lot of time pricing these light bulbs and this was the best deal on the market. I was able to get them for $4.50 a piece. When replacing a large volume of bulbs it can get very expensive if you try to do it 1 or 2 at a time. The same bulbs were $8 to $9 each at several stores in the area, not to mention how much money I spent in shopping around and still didn't find what I needed at a decent price.
I highly recommend wearing household gloves that have the coating on the fingers when handling incandescent light bulbs because they easily slip out of the hand and will break into tiny shards all over your floors. Get the right tools and accessories for the job and you'll be happier for it. I look forward to checking out my next electricity bill.
UPDATE: our average bill was $30 less after 11 65watt spots were replaced. They were frequently used lights in kitchen bathroom and hallways. We noticed these rooms were more comfortable being not as warm as they were previously which also lowered energy usage to cool these rooms.
