I have one fixture in my house that uses GU10 bulbs. I have 45 watt halogen bulbs in it that create as much heat as they do light. I was excited to be provided with a sample of this LED GU10 bulb for testing from HT-lights.
The bulb arrived exactly as pictured, you can check my pictures below. It fit perfectly in my fixture, which is a small ceiling fan. The HT-lights 5 watt 500 Lumens LED bulb puts out noticeably more light than the 45 watt halogens, so the claim of 50 watt equivalence is probably accurate. I chose the warm white 2800k version, and the color looks about identical to the halogen bulbs. In the pictures below, the left-most bulb is the HT-lights LED, and the other two are halogen. The color is the same.
After leaving the fixture on for a while the HT-lights LED bulb was warm, and the halogens were both far too hot to touch. I can find no faults in this bulb. It is superior to the halogen bulb that it replaced. Now I just need two more!
