Perfect replacement bulbs for recessed can lights

I received a review set and loved them (clean light, low power and good presentation) so much I bought more.

It's been a long road getting decent light in my loft. The room has multiple recessed outlets, but not enough power to supply all those 60 watt bulbs, a computer, TV, plus the surge from a vacuum cleaner all at once. To fix this I moved over to CFLs, but the colors were awful, some took time to warm up and when they did... they were often too bright, and worst of all they didn't last nearly as long as they should. I'm pretty sure their short life was due to mild power drops that wore on their circuitry, so even though I don't have dimmers in that room, I am happy that these are dimmable so that they are prepared to handle partial power drops. I'll try to remember to update this review when they do fail, but according to the estimates that may be in over 20 years ;). I found that these turn on very quickly, very near instantaneous, other LED bulbs I have take a tenth of a second till they illuminate, which is fast enough, but occasionally it make my second guess itself. There's no noticeable change in brightness once they're on either, very consistent. The power draw is now a fraction of a single bulb now and power is no longer a concern in that room. The odd shaped body is not noticeable once it's installed and the finished look is very nice and I think as good ,if not better than, the old incandescent flood lights. I'm sure if you were to put it somewhere else you would be an eyesore, but any other style of light would equally look odd in my ceiling.

Overall, I highly recommend them for it's purpose in recessed lighting.

PROS:
+ Fast on
+ Low power
+ Finished look
+ Consistent light
+ Dimmable (which hopefully means long life with power irregularities)
+ Reasonable price (especially when compared to other LEDs)

CONS:
- None (other that it might not look good for purposes other than it was designed for)

LED Light Glare occurs in the following three forms

Glare is a two-fold problem in which lights are reflected off surrounding surfaces so that the light scatters and causes vision problems. It doesn’t interfere with night vision, but makes it difficult to identify and place objects. For the problems of LED glare, all the manufacturers have adopted a variety of methods, some use the brushed PC mask ,others adopt the frosted mask or use the special phosphor materials, etc. , but these methods are not ideal, the drawing masks can eliminate glare, but the flare phenomenon is more serious , our eye tend to be fatigue under this lamp, if we are exposed to it over a prolonged period of time , but also cause eye astigmatism ; while the light loss of those using the mask and cream frosted is too large , the effect is bad. The wrong kind of light, or too much light has been proven to have an impact on your health and quality of life. Glare occurs in the following three forms: Discomfort Glare – Discomfort glare is also known as psycho...
