A19 60W Equivalent LED Bulb
Does exactly what I expected it to do. This bulb is 900 Lumens at full blast, about the same brightness as a standard 60W incandescent bulb. You only get that brightness when the color temp is in the mid-range (a pleasant, sunlight-like shade of white), but that's probably where most people will run it anyway. I'd say it drops down to maybe 900 Lumens going either directly, from an eerie cool blue (a bit too cool to be considered white) to a very warm almost-orange yellow (think candle light).
With respect to this specific product, while I think the color temperature of the standard bulbs is excellent, these white ambiance bulbs offer a range of wonderful warm colors that I've really come to appreciate. I'm definitely the type of person who cannot stand high color temp fluorescent lights (3000 kelvin and greater), but I was surprised at just how much of a difference these lights make even versus 2800 kelvin lights. I would recommend to anyone considering the Hue system to buy one or two of these bulbs as a test. I strongly suspect you'll be as pleased as I have been.
